HOURS OF OPERATION
Students attend classes from Monday to Friday inclusive. Minimum hours are 7.30 am to 8.30 pm with two short breaks for refreshment and a one-hour break for lunch. It is often necessary to start work earlier or finish later. To obtain full value, every class/tutorial should be attended as there could be little time to catch up on missed classes.
LIBRARY
PILEMA is developing an enviable library stocked with law enforcement and other security related works from all over the world, journals and video recordings for student referencing.
EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY
The PILEMA campus provides the technological support students need to carry out research, prepare assignments, make presentations, and connect with resources around the world. All classrooms are wired for internet capability, there is a computer lab with access to appropriate software, email and internet service.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OFFICE
The International student office serves the essential function of supporting international student population. The office provides information and advice on local accommodation, immigration and health services.
FACULTY
Academics and Professionals predominantly with extensive and current industry experience will lead the courses. Visiting tutors and leading practitioners will supplement core staff.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
English Language Proficiency Non-native speakers of English must demonstrate English language proficiency in order to be accepted into a PILEMA program. Applicants may take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). PILEMA requires the following test scores which represent the minimum proficiency needed to perform diploma/degree-level work.
TOEFL information is usually available from U.S. embassies, British Council Offices, united States Information Services Offices and at www.ets.org. Applicants should arrange to have their official test scores sent to PILEMA's Admissions office.

Visa Information All international students are required to have a valid student visa where required. For additional information we suggest you contact the local immigration department.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The Academic Session shall comprise two semesters as follows:
First Semester : February - May June
Second Semester : August/September - December
A Semester shall be 16 weeks duration and shall be structured as follows:
13 weeks of Teaching
1 week of Revision
2 weeks of Examinations.

If you are interested in applying to PILEMA please complete the application form online, or buy a form from our offices and fill.
You may then be called for an interview at the PILEMA. Some applicants may receive places based on their application alone, others depending on qualifications and experience may be called for an interview.
If you are formally offered a place, you will be asked to accept in writing.
